Default 0.002". Clearances ≥ this value are labeled "Dimensionally accommodates". Between 0 and this value: "Tight fit — verify against IFU".

cm minimum protrusion

Planning heuristic, not a clinical recommendation. Flags constructs where the inner device may not extend meaningfully past the outer.

Purpose

The Perfuze Dimensional Reference Tool helps neurointerventional teams visualize coaxial constructs based on manufacturer-published dimensions. A planning aid, not a clinical recommendation, and not a compatibility statement.

Clearance logic

Clearance is calculated as the outer device's inner diameter minus the inner device's outer diameter.
  • Clearance ≥ 0.0020" — "Dimensionally accommodates" (green)
  • Between 0 and threshold — "Tight fit — verify against IFU" (amber)
  • ≤ 0 — "OD exceeds ID" (red)

Matrix orientation

Rows are aspiration / superbore catheters (inner device). Columns are long sheaths, balloon guides, and guide catheters (outer device). Each cell reads: does this aspiration catheter fit through this outer device?

Tapered devices

For devices with a tapered outer diameter (e.g., Zoom 45, Zoom 55), the distal OD is used for inner-clearance math. Both distal and proximal values are shown on the device card.

Not a compatibility statement. Perfuze has not tested every combination presented here. Dimensional clearance does not imply mechanical, hemodynamic, or clinical suitability of any pairing. Always consult each device's IFU and apply clinical judgment.
